CareerCon will be held at Virginia Tech in Alexandria.
The Chamber ALX's CareerCon, presented by Virginia Tech is set for Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Virginia Tech’s Academic Building One, 3625 Potomac Ave.
The event is free for students and parents. CareerCon is a guide for high school and undergraduate students in their pursuit of professional goals. Meet and hear from pros in the industry of your choice and learn skills that never appear on a syllabus. Attend the entire event and you’ll be eligible for scholarships totaling $4,000. Winners will be selected at random during the closing session.

10 a.m.: Registration
10:30 a.m.: Opening Remarks and Scholarship Eligibility Information*
11 a.m.: ‘Meet the Pros’ Track Session: Featuring eight breakout rooms with professional panels in Healthcare, Finance, STEM, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, Criminal Justice, Government and more.
12 noon: ‘How To’ Track Session
Featuring breakout rooms highlighting often overlooked topics, including applying for college, the job search, internships & scholarship opportunities!
1 p.m.: Closing Session and Scholarship Announcement
*Students must be enrolled at a public or private high school or as an undergraduate at the time of winning the scholarship. Funds, to be sent directly to educational institutions, must be utilized within four years of announcement. Additional scholarship eligibility and criteria to be shared on site at the event.
