Many events, special exhibits and collaborations take place throughout the year at The Art League, including their popular annual Patrons’ Show, biennial Ikebana Show, Holiday Ceramics Sale, Art on Tap, and Art on the Rocks.
Art on the Vine, which starts June 8, features a seven-day online auction of artwork by the Art League's faculty of artists. A kick-off wine-tasting party and the “Artwork Unveiling & First Bid" is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 8.
The $55 ticket includes admission, the opportunity to see all of the artwork in person, access to the Silent Auction, a souvenir wine glass, eight wine tasting tickets + one full pour, and a light buffet.
The auction and opening event will raise money to benefit The Art League and its programs.
The Art on the Vine auction will launch online after the party and is open to the public. Online bidding starts at noon Saturday, June 9 and ends at noon on Saturday, June 16.
Only those who buy tickets to the opening event June 8 may attend the wine tasting party and the artwork in person. Those attendees may also set the first bids for art through the silent auction portion. Those silent auction bids will then be transferred to the online auction.
