Kateryna Smagliy, the First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine, will be in Alexandria on Friday, March 25 as part of a fundraiser and informational session on the crisis in Ukraine.
The event is in partnership with Love in ALX and will be at Above ALX, the space above ALX Community's Atrium location, 227 S. Washington St. There will be opportunities for live donations, along with information on how you can support locally.
Love in ALX is the project of Mary K. Leonard, an Alexandria resident who is on the ground in Poland helping Ukrainian war refugees resettle.
Tickets are $25 and available through Eventbrite here. Refreshments will be served, and there is free garage parking on site.
