The Old Town Boutique Community is bringing back one of Alexandria’s most anticipated summer shopping traditions. Beginning August 14, the Alexandria Sidewalk Sale will feature dozens of independent boutiques that step outside their storefronts, bringing their best merchandise to offer shoppers the deepest discount of the summer!
Set within Alexandria’s charming 18th-century district across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., and National Harbor, the event invites shoppers to explore the neighborhood’s walkable format to explore one-of-a-kind finds, including fashion, accessories home goods, books, gifts and more throughout historic Old Town Alexandria.
Known as a longtime favorite among locals and visitors, the annual Sidewalk Sale transforms the streets of the Old Town Boutique District into an open-air shopping experience filled with seasonal deals, special promotions, and unique finds from Alexandria’s beloved small businesses. During the two-day event, participating retailers will bring their best summer merchandise outdoors, creating a lively shopping experience that celebrates the spirit of Alexandria’s independent boutiques.
