The City of Alexandria invites the public to the 47th Annual Jazz Festival on Saturday, June 14, beginning at 3 p.m. at Waterfront Park (1A Prince St.). Admission is free.
The Jazz Festival, hosted by Master of Ceremonies Keanna Faircloth, will feature a variety of talented musicians and diverse styles of jazz throughout the day, including:
- The JoGo Project
- Jeanette Berry
- We Were Here Before
- Fran Vielma Quartet
- Carolyn Malachi
- Warren Wolf
Waterfront Park features lawn seating, and attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets. Food will be available for purchase. Leashed pets are welcome, but patrons are asked to be mindful of noise and crowd size.
Visitors to the Alexandria Waterfront are encouraged to bike, walk, or take public transportation. Public transit options include the Metrorail Yellow or Blue lines to the King Street Station. To get to the Alexandria Waterfront from the King Street Station, consider taking DASH or Metro buses, or the free King Street Trolley.
Bicyclists may visit alexandriava.gov/GOAlex for the City’s Bikeways Map, which features the City's best on-street and off-road bikeways, as well as locations of bicycle parking. Visit Where to Park in Old Town for a list of garages and parking lots in the area.
