Have you made some fun plans for Easter? There are plenty of Easter egg hunts and other activities taking place all around Alexandria. Here are a few you can choose from:
Sunday, April 6
- Easter egg hunt Peep-a-Palooza at Trinity UMC:The event will begin at 2 p.m. with activities to follow. Children 0 – 5th grade are invited to participate in the fun and come meet the Easter Bunny, at 2911 Cameron Mills Road, 2-3:30 p.m.
- Franconia District Park Egg-scavaganza, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater and Chessie’s Trail (a 10 a.m.outdoor worship service is scheduled just before the event). Gather at Franconia Lee District Park Amphitheatre 10 a.m. for worship, and immediately after head over to Chessie’s Trail for the Egg Hunt event. Admission: This event is FREE to our community, and all are welcome, but in an effort to do the most good, please bring one or more new and unopened packages of children’s socks and underwear (all sizes). These items will help support the Fund for Alexandria’s Child, a non-profit that works to enhance the quality of life of children in foster care and children at risk of abuse and neglect in our area.
- Torpedo Factory BunnyFest takes place from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, April 6. The Torpedo Factory Art Center is located at 105 North Union Street, Alexandria. Metered street parking is free. BunnyFest is a production of Lisa Schumaier, Fire On Gallery Tracie Griffith Tso and The Art League.
Saturday, April 12
- Chinquapin Park Rec Center and Aquatics Facility: Underwater egg hunt. Dive into Egg-citement at the Underwater Egg Hunt! Get ready for a one-of-a-kind Underwater Egg Hunt at Chinquapin Rec Center on Saturday, April 12! Hunt for as many eggs as you can, discover special prize eggs, and enjoy sweet treats, an inflatable obstacle course, and a special visit from Alex the Bunny! Outdoor egg hunt will also be taking place, so it's double the fun! $15 per person. Reservations here.Hunt Times: 1–1:45 p.m. | 2–2:45 p.m. | 3–3:45 p.m. | 4–4:45 p.m.
- Del Ray United Methodist Church Easter egg hunt, 100 E. Windsor Ave.: Easter egg hunt. Free, four timed hunts, crafts, games, Easter Bunny, fire truck and police car. 2-4 p.m.
- Alexandria Free Methodist Church Easter egg hunt, from (arrive at 10:30 a.m.) 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 4901 Polk Ave. Join us for a fun-filled morning of hunting for colorful eggs at 4901 Polk Ave. Bring your friends and family for a hopping good time at 10:30 a.m. Don’t forget to bring a basket to collect all your eggs and wear comfy shoes for running around. This event is perfect for kids ages 1-9. Come on down and for an egg-citing time together!
Sunday, April 13
- Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy: Old Town Kids Easter egg hunt. 1:30-2:30 p.m. at 530 S St. Asaph St. Free community Easter egg hunt for children age 0 through 5th grade! There will be three egg hunts grouped by age (0-2, 3-6, and 7+). The first egg hunt will begin shortly after 1:30 with the youngest group, and the egg hunts move quickly so you don't want to be late! In addition to the egg hunt, the park has an awesome playground and they are anticipating a visit from the Easter Bunny! There is street parking all around the nearby area. Please note that there are no restrooms at this park and plan accordingly!
- Fort Ward Park Easter Show & Egg Hunt presented by Princess Parties of DC, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

- Springfield Town Center: Bunny pet photos, Mondays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (break: 3-4 p.m.)
Now through Saturday, April 19
- Springfield Town Center: Bunny family photos, Monday-Friday noon to 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, April 19: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

- Old Presbyterian Meeting House Easter egg hunt: Join us for our Easter Egg Hunt the day before Easter, Saturday, April 19 at 10 a.m. Meet us in the churchyard for the fun! Friends and neighbors are welcome! Please bring a basket. This event is free and open to everyone.
- Greenstreet Gardens: Get ready for your close up with the Easter Bunny, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Get your bunny ears ready for a fabulously fun day filled with giggles and glee! The Easter Bunny is hopping over to Greenstreet Gardens’ Alexandria spot on Braddock Road this Sunday, April 13th
- Mount Vernon Rec Center Egg Hunt and Crafts The Easter Bunny is making a stop at Mt. Vernon for a morning of crafts and an egg hunt. Children under 5 must be with an adult.
