Sardi’s, an eat-in and carry-out restaurant with multiple locations in Maryland, is opening in the Shops at Mark Center on Beauregard Street.
The casual Peruvian chicken restaurant will take the place of the recently-closed Noodles & Co. in the shopping center, which also features a CVS, Dairy Queen, Starbucks, Global Food and more. An opening date has not been announced.
Sardi’s is also opening a location at the Shops at Bailey’s Crossroads, just west of the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Columbia Pike. That new development, by Segall Group, is also anchored by a CVS. Other tenants include T-Mobile and Next Day Blinds. That restaurant is also under construction.
Sardi’s originated in Beltsville, Md. in 2008. The menu focuses on rotisserie chicken with sides and sauces. Other items include lamb chops, steak and Peruvian dishes. (See the menu here.)
Online reviews are overwhelmingly positive. One Yelp reviewer wrote, “Pollo a la brasa is what rotisserie chicken wishes it was (and for me, its texture and rich flavor satisfy what would be a fried chicken craving otherwise). The dry, boring meat of supermarket rotisseries and ‘Boston Chicken’ are nothing like this.”
