A new Dunkin' is opening across the street from the Eisenhower Metro station.
Located next to CVS, the Dunkin' has "coming soon" signs up and construction is progressing, but the company has not set or announced an official opening date.
The Dunkin' will be like a traditional Dunkin' Donuts, but the company is rebranding its stores to simply Dunkin' to reduce the emphasis on its baked treats.
In recent years, the menu has expanded to include a widening variety of drinks, lunch items and healthier options than the traditional doughnuts. The new Dunkin' stores (and eventually existing locations) will feature nitro-infused cold brew coffee drinks, kiosks for digital ordering and a new design with less orange and pink.
There is no shortage of Dunkin' (Donuts) in Alexandra. The closest one to the new Eisenhower store is on the north side of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, less than a mile away. There is also a store on Duke Street and more than a dozen locations in the Alexandria area.
