Lily
Lily's smile tells you everything you need to know about her take on life. After being found outside the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria earlier this summer, this 14-month-old terrier mix has made progress by huge leaps and bounds. Her alopecia is under control, and she has a glorious coat of beautiful red fur coming in. She's gotten to know the staff and volunteers at the AWLA, and shows her affection by planting her bottom right in your lap, all while wagging her happy, happy tail. [You can watch Lily's joyful snuggles in the video below:
Lily is looking for a home where she can get some of the experiences she missed out on as a pup: helping her learn to be comfortable around new people and experiences, getting some training and learning a few tricks; and having the opportunity to grow and thrive in a new home environment.
She loves playing with toys, is already learning some key tricks for treats, and enjoys the occasional brief stroll outside (though she suspects she's more of a fall dog and will enjoy the cooler weather so much better!).
Lily can't wait to meet her future family, and the team at the AWLA can't wait to help her find them. To learn more about Lily or schedule time to meet her, email Adopt@AlexandriaAnimals.org or call 703.746.4774 (opt. 2).
