The Fun Dog Show is returning to the state outside Alexandria City Hall on Saturday, March 7 just before the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.
The Fun Dog Show is an annual tradition that raises funds for the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
Dog owners may register their dog to be a contestant in any or all of the categories:
1. Most St. Paddy's Spirit
2. Best Human/Canine Look-Alike
3. Most Creative (Costume)
Registration is $25 per entrant per category. Category winners will be determined by audience applause. Onsite registration will also be available for $30 until each category is full.
The Ballyshaner's St. Patrick's Day Parade is led by the competing dogs. The parade is set for Saturday, March 7 at 12:30 p.m. in Old Town Alexandria. John Brennan, owner of Daniel O'Connell's Irish Restaurant & Bar, is the Grand Marshal.
