Dog Park Improvements
Improvements to the dog park at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park (426 E Monroe Ave.) will start in November.
Changes were first recommended as part of the 2014 Citywide Parks Improvement Plan for Eugene Simpson Stadium Park. Other improvements to the park include an updated playground, enhanced open space and renovations to the athletic fields.
The City is hosting a community meeting Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the dog park. The meeting will address renovation plans and what local residents and park users can expect during construction.
Francis Lee Contracting LLC will lead construction on the dog park. The project will address erosion and drainage issues in the dog park to improve park use. Construction is anticipated to begin in early November.
