Volunteers from the Junior Friends of The Campagna Center and the Alexandria Peer Group of the Washington Metro Chapter of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) helped set up the first phase of festive displays in The Campagna Center main dining room. Their work begins the transformation for the Scottish Walk Dignataries Breakfast being hosted there on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Sharmili Edwards, Shauna Dillon, Bridget Shea Westfall,, Megan Howell, Danielle St.Clair, Joann Manzek , Sydnye Pettengill, and Claire Tamburro strung lights, hung ornaments, wrapped gifts, and made bows.
Tamburro of Tamburro Interiors, LLC designed the displays, and she wanted this year to feature more twinkle lights, more Christmas trees, and a tower of presents for sparkly fun.
The Christmas trees feature handmade ornaments by Campagna Center children, who wrote their names and wishes for their future selves such as learning to speak perfect English, becoming a chef, learning to play sports, becoming an actress, and world peace.
The Mistletoe Ball has been hung at the servery entryway for Christmas cheer. Santas are scattered throughout, including a handsome Scottish Santa to welcome guests as they warm up with coffee and tea.
More information about Scottish Walk Weekend is available here, including the Heather & Greens sale, Taste of Scotland, the parade and other events supporting The Campagna Center.
