More than 20,000 Southern Living readers voted in this year’s South’s Best awards, deeming Alexandria one of the “Best Cities in the South” alongside heavy hitters such as Austin, New Orleans, Memphis and more, Visit Alexandria announced Monday.
Alexandria first earned a spot on Southern Living’s “South’s Best Cities” list in 2020, and in 2022, secured the #6 spot among the “South’s Best Cities on the Rise.” In recent years, Southern Living has also named Alexandria one of the “South’s Prettiest Cities,” “The Perfect Southern Town for a Hallmark Christmas Movie” and more.
