The developers behind a proposed Robinson Terminal development are hosting a community meeting Thursday evening about the project.
"RTN West LLC and RTN East LLC, developers of the property at 500 and 501 N. Union St. known as Robinson Terminal, would like to extend an invitation for a virtual community meeting regarding its re-development. The developers recently submitted concept plans with the City of Alexandria and would like to share that plan with you!" the Old Town North Alliance announced.
In late 2023, Rooney Properties, which owns Robinson Terminal North in Old Town, submitted plans to tear down the old warehouse and replace it and some space across the street with mixed-use residential buildings and a park.
AlexRenew demolished the Robinson Terminal North building on the east side of North Union Street as part of its much larger plans to improve Alexandria’s sewer and stormwater infrastructure — RiverRenew. A second warehouse on the west side of the street is still standing — a large, green, corrugated steel building at the corner of North Union and Pendleton streets.
The meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 29 at 7 p.m. Residents and interested parties can join from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device here or join by phone at 301-715-8592, webinar ID: 812 0043 6585.
