The Old Town Festival of Speed & Style, presented by Burke & Herbert Bank, presented $60,000 to three Alexandria-area nonprofit organizations Wednesday afternoon, marking another milestone in the Festival’s commitment to using automotive culture and community celebration as a force for local good.

Representatives from ALIVE!, Community Lodgings, and the Breast Center Collective of Alexandria joined Festival leadership for the check presentation at 520 King Street in Old Town Alexandria, the site of the Festival’s Main Stage earlier this year.
The funds were raised through the Seventh Annual Old Town Festival of Speed & Style, presented by Burke & Herbert Bank, held May 17; as well as the annual High-Octane Ball, sponsorships, vehicle registrations and other charitable contributions. The free Festival welcomed tens of thousands of visitors to Old Town for a celebration of rare and exotic automobiles, fashion, live music, and community.
“This Festival has always been about much more than the cars,” said Rick Myllenbeck, founder and chairman of the Old Town Festival of Speed & Style. “It’s about bringing people together around a shared passion and using that energy to make a meaningful difference right here in Alexandria. We are incredibly proud to support the three organizations doing such important work for our neighbors.”
With this year’s contribution, the Old Town Festival of Speed & Style has now raised more than $235,000 for local charitable organizations since its inception.
