Big changes are coming to the area west of Potomac Yard.
Inova Health System, Stonebridge and PCCP, LLC, will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new medical and emergency facility, retail and residential development at Oakville Triangle in mid-November.
The new Inova facility will be a service of Inova Alexandria Hospital and will include a comprehensive emergency room, imaging services, an Inova Primary Care Center and medical offices.
The new Oakville Triangle neighborhood, just north of the Inova medical center, will include mixed-use development retail, a hotel and a mix of residential buildings from townhouses to multi-family buildings. The project also includes a redevelopment of Mount Jefferson Park.
Located just west of Potomac Yard, Oakville Triangle is currently dotted with industrial buildings and service-focused businesses along Route 1 between Fannon Street and Calvert Avenue.
