The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved plans for a new building at Huntington Avenue and Metroview Parkway. The building will have residential units and retail and is part of the long-planned development that includes The Parker apartment building.
At least 15% of the apartments will be designated as workforce housing for low- to moderate-income households.
The space that will be filled is an interim park currently, but the developer says they will preserve some lawn space to host community events. Original plans had called for an office building and hotel on the site, but that proved economically difficult following the pandemic.
