Sign at Misha's waterfront location
Let’s try this again.
Last spring, Misha’s Coffee House was gearing up to open their second location along Alexandria’s Waterfront at 6 Prince St., less than a mile from their current coffee shop at 917 King St.
Then, the COVID-19 pandemic forced many businesses to close their doors or offer curbside-only services, and the second location was put on the back burner.
A café employee said that Misha’s is tentatively planning to open the second location in May. The brand’s iconic orange sign is already hanging at the remodeled waterfront building, which was formerly home to Olde Town Gemstones.
The new coffee shop will feature an outdoor, second-floor deck with views of the Potomac River. Hours of operation have not yet been announced.
Misha’s first opened in 1991 in Old Town Alexandria, and has become a popular local spot for the coffee they roast in-house every day.
The coffee shop moved from its long-time location at 102 S. Patrick St. to 917 King St. in May 2019.
