Dozens of real estate professionals from Keller Williams in Alexandria will be cleaning and more at New Hope Housing.
The effort is part of Keller Williams nationwide day of service, RED Day. This year, RED Day is May 9.
On RED Day, Keller Williams Metro Center in Alexandria will be doing spring cleaning for two of New Hope Housing's local shelters.
The buildings have 119 shelter beds year-round, plus an additional 90 beds during winter months.
Founded in 1977, New Hope Housing is a non-profit agency that works to find solutions to end the cycle of homelessness.
The programs first provide safe, decent, and welcoming housing along with nutritious meals to area residents struggling with housing stability.
Along with Moore Construction Group, volunteers from Keller Williams will also be building a storage shed and staining a deck for the shelters.
The public is invited to support RED Day and New Hope Housing by donating funds or donating new items (there's a list and more info here).
