Zinat Gallery is celebrating its grand opening at 923 King St. on Nov. 19. The space it is moving into had been empty for years.
Zinat Gallery advertises itself as a high-end gallery which sells hundreds of unique pieces including glass and acrylic furniture, vintage and antique rugs and hand-painted art, sculptures and other art pieces. The gallery currently operates a showroom in Vienna at 8603 Westwood Center Dr.
Hours for the Alexandria location have not been announced, but the Vienna location is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
According to the gallery’s website, “Zinat Gallery’s dedicated staff of art buyers and art experts have over 70 years of cumulative experience ranging from classical pieces to content driven contemporary art, as well as historical, personal, and panoramic photography.
The gallery is celebrating its grand opening with a VIP reception on Nov. 19 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. The event is free, but attendees must RSVP to martha.carucci@nationalbreastcenter.org, info@zinatgallery.com, 703-299-2442 or 517-327-2080. The reception will feature the art of Zohreh Khaleghi and 30 percent of proceeds from the event will be donated to the National Breast Center Foundation.
