Throughout the month of October, Potomac Yard-based pet grooming company From Head to Tail Spa is holding a “Trim-and-Treat” fundraising program to benefit Alexandria-based non-profit Pawfectly Delicious.
Pawfectly Delicious employs persons with developmental and physical disabilities who bake, package and sell its all-natural dog treats.
“In honor of Pawfectly Delicious’ two year anniversary, and in support of the positive contribution the organization is providing to its employees, residents of Alexandria and pet lovers everywhere, From Head To Tail Spa will donate $1 from every Full Groom & Style, or Bath & Tidy service to the organization, and we encourage our clients to match—or exceed—our donation,” said Jodi Goldberg, owner of From Head to Tail Grooming Spa, in a news release. “Additionally, for every $5 donation made in October, From Head to Tail Grooming Spa will reward your dog with an individually-wrapped, treat from Pawfectly Delicious.”
According to Ann Tuccillo, who along with her son Bryan Tuccillo co-founded Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats in October 2017, the organization “takes pride in providing meaningful work while celebrating each person’s unique gifts, talents and abilities.”
Although beset by the degenerative neurological condition, Mitochondrial Disease, Bryan multitasks as marketer, salesman and baker, and is just one of eight amazing individuals currently working to create the all-natural Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats.
According to Goldberg, Pawfectly Delicious ginger dog treats are carried in her shop, much to the delight of her canine customers. “Pawfectly Delicious’ all-natural ingredients, and its slogan, ‘made with love by special people for special four-legged friends,’ aligns with my business model of holistic, safe and community-centered. It’s an honor to work with them to raise funds for their continued operations.”
