The City of Alexandria's first Community Open House is set for Wednesday Dec. 10 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for the Duke Street Land Use Plan , at Bishop Ireton High School, 201 Cambridge Road, Alexandria VA, 22314. The meeting space is located directly off the main entrance in the upper parking lot.
The Open House will include interactive stations and the opportunity for community members to engage with City Staff about specific opportunities they see on the corridor, weigh in on proposed corridor themes, and learn about the planning process. While there will not be a live virtual component to the Open House, there will be a digital version available on the Engagement Hub.
The meeting location is accessible via the FREE DASH Bus Route 30. Food and language interpretation in Spanish and Amharic will be provided. Requests for interpretation in other languages must be made to Christian Brandt, Urban Planner, before Wednesday, December 3: Christian.brandt@alexandriava.gov or 703.746.3859.
The Open House will be followed by workshops in January that will cover the same content. Community members are encouraged to come to the December Open House and sign up for the workshops at this link.
If you weren’t able to attend the Oct. 23 community meeting, you can review the presentation, agenda, and meeting recordings on our project webpage. All information about past and upcoming meetings and future engagement opportunities on the Engagement Hub will be communicated via eNews, WhatsApp, and shared with community groups.
