A car accidentally crashed into Great Harvest Bakery Tuesday night at its store at 1711 Centre Plaze in Fairlington Centre, doing extensive damage that required boarding up the store.
The crash happened after business hours.
The bakery on Wednesday sold bread and cookies from a tent in front of its store and, in a post on Facebook Wednesday evening, thanked supporters.
The owners on Facebook late Wednesday:
"You all are amazing. We felt your love and support today! We sold all of our bread and cookies and have packed up for tonight. We had some positive news in our first step to recovery so we may be able to bake a few loaves this weekend and should start baking fully next week. Thank you for your patience!"
