The Ballyshaners are hoping to reschedule the 37th annual St. Patrick Day’s Parade in Alexandria for 1:30 pm Sunday, March 18, but Parade Captain John Bryk needs your help.
“The big thing we need to know is, if you were registered to march in the parade, can you still march,” Bryk says.
If your group was registered to participate, send an email to Ballyshaners_Parade@yahoo.com, and indicate yes or no in the subject line. Be sure to include your unit name in the email.
And, if your group wasn’t registered but you’re interested in participating, there is still time to register by sending an email indicating your interest.
“We need to know ASAP because the City of Alexandria wants to make a decision by Wednesday,” Bryk says.
The parade was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 3 at 12:30 p.m. but was cancelled due to the extreme wind conditions in Alexandria.
