If you’ve been thinking of buying an Electric Vehicle (EV), Alexandria City is offering test drives before federal EV tax credits expire Sept. 30.
The City of Alexandria will hold its EV Ride and Drive event Sept. 27 to see why an EV may be right for you. Anyone interested in checking out an EV can come to the EV Ride and Drive to test drive different electric vehicles from local dealerships and talk to local EV owners about charging, incentives and the benefits of electric transportation.
If you don't drive a car, you can also come try out "micromobility options" like electric bikes or scooters. Test ride a scooter or e-bike from a local retailer or one of the City's micromobility operators.
When: Saturday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: Chinquapin Park, Lot 3 (near the tennis courts), 3210 King St.
What to bring: Bring your driver’s license to test drive vehicles.
