Do you ever look at a cluttered area of your home and wonder what's worth saving?
The Alexandria Film Festival hosted a screening of “The Arc of Oblivion” in late July. The documentary film, by Ian Cheney, explored how humans archive memories, and how people determine what is worth saving.
Over the past few months, students from Alexandria City High School took the film's concept and are creating a special project that will be unveiled at the Alexandria Film Festival this November.
The project is being headed by the Alexandria City Student Government. The “Titan Time Capsule Documentary” — a multimedia project including photography, art, film and performing arts — will reflect the diversity and inclusion of ACHS while exploring student response to the question, "What is worth saving?"
This is a collaborative project with support from the Alexandria Film Festival in collaboration with the city’s 275th anniversary. The documentary will include students across all four campuses of ACHS.
The Alexandria Film Festival is Nov. 7 - 10.
