All City of Alexandria government offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25, to observe Christmas. All City of Alexandria government offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, to observe New Year's Day. Here's a look at the schedule of services for the City during the Christmas and New Year's holidays:
Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS)
Monday, Dec. 22 through Friday, Jan. 2: ACPS Students on Winter Break.
Alexandria Transit Company (DASH)
Thursday, Dec. 25: In observance of Christmas, DASH will operate on a Saturday-Sunday (weekend) schedule. Lines 102, 103, and 104 will not run.
Thursday, Jan. 1: In observance of New Year’s Day, DASH will operate on a Saturday-Sunday (weekend) schedule. Lines 102, 103, and 104 will not run.
The King Street Trolley runs daily, every 15 minutes, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 24: Open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 25: Closed
Wednesday, Dec. 31: Open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 24: DMV offices will close at noon (12 p.m.).

The City’s impound lot is closed on all weekends and observed City holidays. Fees will continue to accrue on Saturday and Sunday, but not on holidays.

This suspension of enforcement applies only to the restrictions at legal parking spaces and does not permit parking in any normally prohibited location. Temporary no-parking signs will be enforced.
