Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) will hold an invitation-only ribbon-cutting Tuesday, Nov. 29 to celebrate the official opening of its Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center and Family Learning Zone, located at Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School.
The center will support the ACPS commitment to strengthening family-school partnerships by empowering families to be actively engaged in their child’s learning and by connecting families to resources that impact educational achievement and social emotional development.
For more information about the FACE Center visit https://www.facebook.com/acpsface/.
The invitation-only event will include a ribbon-cutting and remarks from ACPS staff, administration and families. The occasion celebrates the current work that the ACPS FACE Center does each day and informs all school community stakeholders that this center is now officially open and accessible to the families who need assistance from the school division.
