A six-alarm fire damaged multiple businesses and injured one firefighter at Belle View Shopping Center in the early hours of Monday morning, according to reports.
The fire was reported a few minutes after midnight Monday. At least two dozen units responded from Fairfax County plus the City of Alexandria, Prince William County and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority fire departments.
Covering the Corridor reported, "The fire was called in shortly after midnight, and appears to have broken out in the rear of the east side of the shopping shopping center near a cleaners and a recently opened sushi and ramen restaurant."
A Huntington resident who works at one of the businesses said a firefighter suggested the fire may have started at the dry cleaners and spread along the roofline of the shopping center.
NBC Washington reports most of the affected businesses have smoke and water damage, but the fire also caused the roof over Roy Rogers to collapse.
