On June 18, Alexandria voters will select their top six choices crom 11 candidates for city council in the city's Democratic primary; the winners will go on to the general election in early November.
At this time, there is one Republican and one Independent candidate for city council, making it likely (but not certain) that most or all of the people who win in the primary in June will also win the November election. (The Republican candidate is Celianna Gunderson; the Independent candidate is Mason Butler.)
Alexandria has a dual primary, which means that any registered voter from any party may vote in the primary of their choice.
