Fort Ward Park

Fort Ward Park is a historic earthen fort built to help defend Washington, DC during the Civil War. Today, it features an amphitheater, dog exercise area, museum, park shelter, parking, picnic areas, playground, and restrooms. There are frequent historical reenactments and other activities at the park.
