Alexandria-based nonprofit Campagna Center is seeking community members to volunteer for the 54th Annual Scottish Christmas Walk Parade, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 in Old Town Alexandria.
The parade is one of the region’s most cherished and longest-running holiday traditions to celebrate the city’s Scottish heritage. With an expected turnout of thousands of residents and visitors, Campagna Center is seeking approximately 40–50 volunteers to serve in a variety of roles.
The Scottish Christmas Walk Parade sponsored by Wegmans, benefits Campagna’s educational programs that serve more than 2,000 under-resourced children and families each year. Campagna Center, now in its 80th year has supported 2,242 individuals, the majority from households earning between 100% and 200% of the federal poverty level, through education quality and economic stability.
To continue this tradition of impact and celebration, they rely on dedicated volunteers who help bring the parade to life. To ensure another successful and joyful parade, volunteers are needed to assist with various roles, including banner carriers, vehicle lineup, assembly block volunteers, and more.
The parade begins promptly at 11 a.m., but volunteer shifts start as early as 8 a.m. and conclude no later than 1:30 p.m. A virtual volunteer training will be held on Dec. 1, 2025, from 6–7 p.m. Role assignments will be shared in advance.
Interested volunteers are encouraged to sign up by this Friday, Nov. 21, 2025 via the registration link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NNGR8ZM
