Unlimited Biking
Unlimited Biking is opening in a building that's been vacant for a few years in Old Town Alexandria.
The bike rental company that offers tours around Alexandria and to Mount Vernon is taking up residence in the historic building at Duke and Prince streets, the former home of the Christmas Attic. That business closed at the end of 2019.
The location, just a block west of the Potomac, offers very easy access to the Mount Vernon trail and Alexandria's waterfront. The business will stay in its new space through at least this October, said Alexandria Operations Manager John Gill. Unlimited Biking offers regular, hybrid and electric bikes and a wide variety of accessories. Roller blades are also available.
Unlimited Biking started about 10 years ago in New York City with a fleet of 50 bicycles. The business now operates in 10 locations in New York, New Jersey, the District and Virginia. Unlimited Biking was previously located on King Street.
"We want guests to look back at their time in a city, and remember the amazing bike ride they had through Central Park, the educational bike tour they had riding through the National Mall, the scenic ride they had riding across the Golden Gate Bridge, or the workout they received riding through the Alexandra Mount Vernon trail," according to the company.
