The Alexandria Aces collegiate summer baseball team—the reigning heart of Alexandria’s summer sports scene—is officially seeking local families to host elite student-athletes for the upcoming 2026 season.
Celebrating 18 years of premier competition in the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League (CRSCBL), the organization is looking for residents to provide a "home away from home" for players from May 30 through July 25. This essential program allows the Aces to recruit top-tier talent from major universities nationwide—players who often go on to be drafted by Major League Baseball (MLB).
Requirements for hosting are simple: families provide a private bedroom and access to laundry facilities. In return, families receive all-access season tickets for their household and an invitation to the team’s annual Host Family Appreciation Night at Frank Mann Field.
"Our host families are more than just housing; they are the heartbeat of the Alexandria Aces," said Frank Fannon, Aces Team president. "Opening your home to these talented young men creates lifelong bonds. Many of our families have watched their former 'house guests' debut in the Major Leagues, but the real reward is the friendship that lasts long after the final out of the season."
The "Aces Experience": For many Alexandria families, hosting has become a summer tradition. "Hosting a player changed the way my kids see the game," says one long-time host. "They aren't just athletes on a field; they become big brothers to our children and a part of our family dinner table."
How to Apply: Interested families can find full program details and application forms by visiting the "Host Families" section at alexandriaaces.org.
