With the holiday season in full swing it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle. Holiday parties, school performances, and what seems like endless shopping. At some point this season the need for a getaway will undoubtedly arise.
But with all the cheer and events getting out of town is not always an option. We propose a staycation.
Alexandria Living had the pleasure of staying with our friends over at the Hyatt Centric at the top of King Street in Old Town.
The moment we arrived we were greeted by an incredibly accommodating staff who truly go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home.
The area’s newest boutique hotel manages to marry the lush history of Old Town and the modern high end city vibe that truly makes you feel like you’ve been transported. Featuring a state of the art fitness center and an enormous lobby perfect for a day of remote working.
The thoughtfully designed guest rooms feature Martha Washington's love letter to George on the wallpaper, and beds that feel as though you have slept on a cloud. While the hotel is located on a busy part of King St you would never be able to tell.
This dog friendly hotel recognizes this city's love for our four legged friends and embraces it with adorable touches that your pooch will love. From the artwork to the bowl of treats at the front desk, your pup will feel right at home.
Steps away from the metro and perfectly located to stroll down the cheerfully lit sidewalks of King St.
During our stay we dined at the mouth watering hotel restaurant. Indochen opened its second location in the lobby of the Hyatt Centric earlier this year. Boasting a menu featuring the same flavorful Indian/Chinese fare as their original Cameron Station location.
This holiday season the folks at the Hyatt Centric are turning the holiday cheer up a notch. With holiday themed packages, and festive events like cooking decorating, and Holiday cocktail tastings at the restaurant the merriment is in no short supply.
