You may be having a splashing good time at Cameron Run waterpark this summer, but come November, the park will turn into Ice & Lights, The Winter Village at Cameron Run.
The park is run by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority.
Cameron Run, at 4001 Eisenhower Ave., will be transformed from mid-November through February into a winter wonderland with an ice rink, beautifully lit photo ops, music and more. Visitors will be able to grab a slice of pizza and roast marshmallows over the fire pits,
The village will be open nightly from Nov. 15 to Jan. 5, from 5-10 p.m. From Jan. 6 to Feb. 28, only the ice rink will be open on weekends (Fridays from 5 - 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
Admission to the Winter Village will be $5. Ice skating on the 55x80-foot outdoor ice rink will cost $8 per person and skate rentals will be $4.
Also look for a large holiday tree, a 100-foot light tunnel, fire pits, heated tents, the "Paradise Playground" for kids, photo ops, "Bling & Things (a holiday shop) and "Slice & Ice," serving up pizza, ice cream, s'mores and more.
