Doyle’s Outpost gave some Alexandrians a preview on New Year's Eve, and an official grand opening is now set for Jan. 10.
Doyle's Outpost is located next to Planet Fitness in the Seminary Plaza Shopping Center. The space was occupied by AMF Seminary Lanes bowling alley, which closed in 2005.
Doyle’s Outpost is a "social entertainment venue catering to adults featuring a two story themed state of the art laser tag arena, a modern arcade with integrated debit card system and redemption prizing, virtual reality attractions, and full service dining and drinking," according to the company.
The District of Columbia-themed laser tag venue also features an arcade, interactives, a sports bar and much more. Doyle's Outpost also features a fully immersive experience through several Hologate Virtual Reality Stations.
Owner Kevin Fagan, who is the former owner of the Planet Fitness gym located next door, said in late 2019, “High tech entertainment centers are great draws where groups of friends can experience a more social atmosphere. We are creating a space that is especially interesting and accessible to our active millennials. I am very excited for the opportunity to bring Doyle’s Outpost to Alexandria.”
The restaurant and bar will feature top-notch drinks and a unique cocktail menu in addition to plenty of food.
