The Muse in Old Town North
The Muse, a new arts-focused luxury condo development, is now under construction on the Alexandria waterfront and will welcome The Art League as well as residents to Old Town North.
The Muse condominium development broke ground at 1201 N. Royal St. in Old Town North. The Muse’s 73 luxury residences are scheduled to deliver in late 2021, with prices starting in the $800,000’s. The sales gallery will open in September across the street from the development.
As a key component of the neighborhood’s Arts Corridor, Muse will incorporate an outdoor “Arts Walk,” featuring a landscaped open space with seating, lighting, and display space. This new community anchor is designed to encourage enlightened engagement for both artists and residents.
Muse Condominium will be comprised of two distinctive buildings with glass, brick, and panel facades, connected to one another by an enclosed bridge above the Arts Walk. The smaller “jewel box” element will serve as the community’s “front door.” The Art League will occupy much of that building’s first floor adjoining the Arts Walk.
The building’s second and third floors will be built out with three two-story loft residences.The main tower will accommodate Muse’s condominium residences and impressive amenities.
Residents at Muse will have access to a penthouse lounge with an outdoor terrace with water views. The top floor also will include an indoor-outdoor fitness center with a dedicated movement room for yoga and personal training sessions. The reception lobby, which will open to the Arts Walk, will provide a 24-hour staffed front desk, lobby lounge, and library. The residences at Muse will range in size from 920 to 2,800 SF, with many featuring dens, outdoor balconies, and terraces.
Muse Condominium is being developed by Carr Companies and was designed by Bethesda-based SK&I Architecture. Interior design is by ADG of Alexandria.
