The Hollin Hills House+Garden Tour has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25. The house and garden tour, like many events, has had to reschedule several times from last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Normally a springtime event, the tour was rescheduled for fall due to the pandemic. Organizers note that the tour has not been held in the fall in more than 20 years.
If you love modern architecture, you'll enjoy the stunning examples of mid-century architecture and landscapes that will be on display during this self-guided walking tour.
The Hollin Hills Historic District, a residential neighborhood, is set in a 326-acre wooded landscape just south of the City of Alexandria in Fairfax County. The neighborhood was developed as one of the first post-World War II planned communities in the DC metro area and one of just a handful featuring modern architecture using hilly, wooded topography and landscaping as an intrinsic part of the design.
The neighborhood was named to the National Register of Historic Places on Sept. 30, 2013. The neighborhood was the brainchild of developer/builder Robert C. Davenport and architect Charles M. Goodman.

If you purchased a ticket for the original 2020 event, your ticket will automatically be honored for the new date. If Sept. 25 doesn’t work with your schedule, organizers will provide a refund.

Due to the manual effort required by the volunteer team to execute refunds, requests will be honored until May 1 and will be processed on a weekly basis.
Following the refund period, remaining ticket holders will once again be issued a replacement ticket for the new date.
