Preparation Tips
Metals should be separated from other collection items, as crews will be making a special collection for metal items. Items should be placed at the curb (not in alleys).
Appliances will still incur a $20 collection fee.
The City encourages residents to consider donating unused items that are in good condition.
The following is a list of items that may not be picked up:
- Yard Waste
- Concrete
- Improperly prepared paints
- Hazardous Materials
- Unbundled brush or loose yard waste
- Incorrectly prepared sharp items
- Building materials (such as drywall, shingles and lumber)
Household hazardous waste should go to to the City's household hazardous waste collection site.
More information on preparing items that may be sharp or otherwise hazardous is available here.
