Just beyond Alexandria in Falls Church, this home reflects a design approach we often bring to our work at Asha Maia Design, a thoughtful blend of classic and modern elements grounded in how our clients truly live. For this hardworking couple, the goal was to create a home that felt like a reflection of their style and success. They were drawn to a more masculine direction, with layered, atmospheric moments balanced by spaces that still felt bright and welcoming.
We approached the design through contrast, allowing the home to shift in tone while maintaining a cohesive thread. In the family room, a lighter palette, sculptural furnishings, and paneled millwork in a muted blue create a tailored, inviting environment that feels both elevated and comfortable.

At the center of the home is the salon, a space designed entirely around how the clients love to live. We began to think of this space as the salon, a name that reflects its role as a place for gathering, music, and conversation. Originally two separate rooms, a formal dining room and a piano sitting area, we transformed it into one larger, cohesive space for entertaining, music, and connection. Wrapped in a rich teal tone, the room sets the stage for evenings filled with jazz, conversation, and candlelight. A curved rust-toned sofa introduces a sculptural element, while brass accents and layered textures add warmth and refinement. The piano anchors the room, reinforcing its purpose as a space meant to be experienced.

the home, we introduced subtle Art Deco influences to bring in structure and character. In the salon, a geometric ceiling detail adds rhythm and visual interest. The dry bar carries that language forward with a textured geometric backsplash, fluted cabinetry, and a mural-like backdrop that enhances the overall atmosphere. In the powder room, a sculptural sink paired with graphic flooring offers a more expressive moment, balanced by warm brass fixtures.
Because our clients love to entertain, the dining area just off the kitchen was designed to support long, comfortable gatherings. A generously scaled table with upholstered seating allows for ease and connection, while soft drapery and natural light keep the space feeling open. Subtle green tones tie back to the deeper palette used throughout the home, creating continuity from room to room.
Every decision in this home was made with intention, from the materials to the overall flow of the spaces. While Pimmit View is located in Falls Church, it reflects the timeless, livable approach that defines our work in Alexandria.
Ultimately, this home is a reflection of our clients and how they live. It supports everything from dinner parties with friends to evenings spent around the piano, creating a space that feels composed, personal, and meant to be lived in.
