E60 Fitness
Alexandria's West End residents are getting a new fitness option! E60 is opening in September.
E60 offers group fitness, personal training, virtual training and some open gym hours. Their flagship class, called Elevate 60, is a 60-minute full body workout that incorporates resistance training, functional movement and cardio.
Members can also attend weight training, boxing workout, and virtual or recorded classes. E60 also offers both in-person and online personal training.
Doug Frantzen and his wife, Jaime Frantzen, who will be the new studio manager, are excited to bring E60 to Alexandria. They also operate the E60 in Arlington.
The studio will be located at West Alex, a shopping center which is home to Harris Teeter and the recently opened Silver Diner. E60 is offering special deals and free outdoor workouts leading up to their grand opening the end of September.
The new studio is taking extra precautions in light of COVID-19. Jaime Frantzen believes that having a healthy body is essential, especially in these times. They will be limiting class sizes to 30 percent and enforcing mask-wearing and social distancing of 10 feet. All surfaces will be sanitized between use. The studio also has an air sanitizing system.
E60 is all about transforming and giving back to the local community. Doug Frantzen, who still works in consulting, does not take a paycheck from E60 revenue but pours everything back into the gym.
“Though we were mandated to be closed for 3+ months due to the current pandemic, we have made it our mission to continue employing multiple trainers and front desk associates at both of our locations and be a safe and healthy place for our clients to improve their fitness level and our employees to continue making a wage to support themselves during this crazy time,” explained Jaime Frantzen.
