After 20 years, the Bradlee Shopping Center (King Street) location of Unwined will be closing, the owner announced this month.
"We are deeply grateful to our loyal customers, staff, and community who have supported us for two decades," according to Vanessa Moore, founder of Unwined. "This decision wasn’t easy, but it reflects a thoughtful strategy to grow and thrive in new ways. The Belle View location has an exciting future under new leadership, and I am confident they will continue to deliver the high level of service and community engagement that has become our hallmark."
The store at 3690-J King St. will close at the end of December, and there will be multiple events and celebrations until then.
The Belle View location and its related restaurant, Revel, will remain open and transition to new, internal owners in early 2025.
"While this chapter is closing for the King Street location, Unwined remains dedicated to serving the region’s lovers of quality wines, craft beers, and gourmet provisions at Belle View. Customers can look forward to continued personalized service and the same expertly curated selection they've come to appreciate," Moore wrote in a note to customers.
"From all of us at Unwined, we extend our deepest thanks for your unwavering support and friendship over the years. We look forward to celebrating with you and continuing to be part of Alexandria’s vibrant wine community."
