Tickets are on sale now for a three-night, four-day culinary event hosted by Food & Wine and Sheila's Johnson's Salamander Hotels & Resorts in Middleburg.
The event, dubbed The Family Reunion, is presented by Los Angeles-based James Beard winner chef and author Kwame Onwuachi. A contestant on "Top Chef," he was named Rising Star Chef of the Year by the James Beard Foundation. He is the author of the book "Notes From a Young Black Chef."
Onwuachi has been named one of Food & Wine's Best New Chefs, Esquire Magazine's 2019 Chef of the Year and is a 30 Under 30 honoree by both Zagat and Forbes. He's also been featured on Time's 100 Next List and has been named the most important chef in America by the San Francisco Chronicle.
The enriching programming is highlighted by some of the industry’s top talent including Carla Hall, Rodney Scott, Nina Compton, Gregory Gourdet, Mashama Bailey, Tavel Bristol-Joseph, Pierre Thiam and several surprise guests.
Presented by Chef and Author Kwame Onwuachi in collaboration with Dotdash Meredith’s FOOD & WINE and Sheila Johnson’s Salamander Hotels & Resorts, the multi-day event crosses culinary boundaries and combines thought-provoking panel discussions, topical cooking demonstrations, inspiring recreational activities and daily “family” meals where attendees and celebrity participants can interact. Last year’s inaugural event was lauded by guests and talent for its energetic and unique approach.
Last year the inaugural event "broke boundaries as we celebrated diversity in hospitality and created a newfound community of inclusion across the industry," organizers said.
Guests will enjoy culinary presentations, exclusive dinners and thought-provoking discussions with talented chefs, sommeliers and leaders. Guests have the option to take advantage of overnight packages, all-access program passes or evening events pass.
The overnight package includes access to the full event line-up, including breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday, evening dinner events, panels, activities and luxurious Forbes Five-Star accommodations for three-nights.
The all-access program passes Include access to evening events on Thursday - Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday, and panels and speakers and breakout activity sessions.
The evening events pass includes access to the afternoon Cook Out Thursday, and Dance Hall and Block Party on Friday and Saturday evenings.
