There are "coming soon" signs for Thanida Thai at 1200 N. Fayette St. in Old Town North.
The restaurant had been in the Montgomery Center, just a few blocks away, but closed earlier this year.
The Montgomery Center, a block-sized, one-story building that was also home to A La Lucia (still open), The Art League and several other businesses, will be demolished to make way for a new, larger building. Most businesses have left the building.
Thanida Thai had opened in June 2016. The family-owned restaurant had gotten rave reviews before closing.
