The owners of the popular Thanida Thai Restaurant and Bar want you to know: They are still open, they've just recently reopened this fall at 1210 N. Fayette St. near the Braddock Road Metro station.

The restaurant had been in the Montgomery Center, just a few blocks away, since 2016, but closed earlier this year.
The Montgomery Center, a block-sized, one-story building that was also home to A La Lucia (still open), The Art League and several other businesses, will be demolished to make way for a new, larger building. Most businesses have left the building.
Old Town North neighborhood staple A La Lucia, at 315 Madison St., will be open at the Montgomery Center a little bit longer, until the end of December.
A La Lucia specializes in homemade-style Italian dishes and has been in business for more than 20 years. The owner and his wife will retire, so the restaurant will not relocate or reopen.

Property owner Carr will replace the commercial building known as Montgomery Center with hundreds of residential units, retail and arts components on the ground floor, and large underground parking garage. Currently, Montgomery Center takes up the entire 2-acre block surrounded by Montgomery, Madison, North Royal and North Fairfax streets.
Thanida Thai originally opened in June 2016. The family-owned restaurant has gotten rave reviews.
Thanida Thai Restaurant and Bar is run by Songyodh Tantiyangkul (Noom) and Jaruvan Simuang (Yui). Noom has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant business. Noom and Yui are also the owners of Zento Japanese.
The eatery offers an authentic Thai and Thai Street food menu. Noom's dad moved to the United States 40 years ago to work as a chef at a Thai restaurant in the DMV area when there were less than 10 in the entire DMV area.
Patrons will find items on the menu from his personal cookbook combined with Noom's own recipes.
In addition to its proximity to the Metro, there is free retail parking available for two hours on 1100 N. Fayette St. Delivery is available to Old Town, Del Ray and Potomac Yard. Thanida Thai also offers catering.
