This will be the kind of dining experience you and your Mom will always remember. If it’s a beautiful day, see about getting a table outside to watch the world go by. If you sit inside, you’ll love the stone walls, wood paneling and chandeliers. Enjoy the thoroughly Italian menu and save room for dessert — homemade tiramisu or cannoli.

Or if you’re going the lunch route, start off with the crab dip or fried green tomatoes. Brunch hours on Sunday are 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A Bit of Trivia
They say the idea for Mother’s Day was started when a woman named Anna Jarvis of Grafton, West Virginia, held a small memorial service for her own mother, Anna Reeves Jarvis, on May 12, 1907. Soon after, many places across the country were observing the day.
President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation May 9, 1914, asking Americans to give a public expression of reverence to mothers through the celebration of Mother’s Day. Carnations have come to represent the day as they were distributed at one of the first commemorations honoring the mother of the founder of Mother’s Day.
