Catch on the Ave., now closed at 2419 Mount Vernon Ave. in Del Ray.
A new Italian restaurant from the team behind Café Pizzaiolo has opened in the space formerly occupied by Catch on the Ave. in Del Ray.
Piece Out LLC, which operates Café Pizzaiolo, St. Elmo's and Markt2Market, opened a from-scratch Italian restaurant at 2419 Mount Vernon Ave.
Piece Out will initially focus on carry-out dining with plans to grow into a sit-down restaurant as the region starts to recover from the coronavirus crisis, according to owner Larry Ponzi.
The restaurant will include pizza, house-made pasta and more.
The new restaurant offers pizza by the slice in NY style, Detroit style (thick crust) and flatbread. Gluten-free crust is availablee. Other options include baked wings, pasta and salads. Snow cones are available for desert.
