Imagine sipping an espresso from a second-floor deck overlooking Alexandria's waterfront.
Soon this dream could be reality. According to Misha’s General Manager Graham McCulloch, the coffee roaster hopes to open their new waterfront location in April, weather and construction permitting.
Misha’s new waterfront coffee shop, the company's second location, will be at 6 Prince St., the former home of Olde Town Gemstones. The building has been entirely gutted, leaving only the facade in place.
The new coffee shop will have 48 seats and will feature an outdoor, second-floor deck. The proposed outdoor hours of operation for the new Misha's location are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Misha’s first opened in 1991 in Old Town Alexandria and has become a popular local spot for the coffee which they roast in house every day. The coffee shop moved from its long time location on 102 S. Patrick St. to 917 King St. in May 2019.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams opened in Misha’s old Patrick St. location in November of last year.
