After an eight-month closure due to the pandemic, The Majestic has opened its doors for diners as of Wednesday, Oct. 7, Alexandria Restaurant Partners announced.
Diners can expect an all-new menu offering seasonal dishes such as Roasted Parsnip Agnolotti with black truffle, bacon jam and parmesan ($12), vegetarian Preserved Smoked Beet Tartare ($9) with crispy capers, horseradish yogurt, shallots and almonds, and of course there’s the Majestic Burger ($17) or Rigatoni & Eggplant for $18. See more items on the menus below.
The new hours of operation are:
- Monday and Tuesday: CLOSED
- Wednesday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. (dinner only)
- Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (brunch and dinner only)
The Majestic has been a longtime local favorite in Alexandria, and has also drawn everyone from the Obama family to film stars to sample the cuisine. The Obamas celebrated a birthday dinner for Marion Robinson, then-first lady Michelle Obama's mother, in 2009 and actor Robert Pattinson stopped in for a late-night meal of strip steak and fries in 2012 after the White House Correspondents Dinner.
